Career Highlights

In 2000, finished in the top 20 three times, including a season-best tie for eighth at the Nabisco Championship, her best finish in a major championship.

In 1999, best finish was a tie for sixth at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic; tied her career-low score of 66 during the second round of the Sara Lee Classic and third round of the Philips Invitational Honoring Harvey Penick.

In 1998, recorded four top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Friendly’s Classic.

In 1997, best finish was a tie for second at the Safeway LPGA Golf Championship, where she fired a career-low score of 66 during the final round.

In 1996, twice posted her career-best finish with second places at the Youngstown-Warren LPGA Classic and Fieldcrest Cannon Classic.

In 1995, best finish was a tie for 22nd at the Sprint Championship.

In 1994, best finish was a tie for third at the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

In 1993, lost her LPGA playing privileges but regained exempt status for the 1994 season at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament.

In 1992, her rookie season, best finish was a tie for 25th at the Inamori Classic.

Prior to joining the LPGA Tour, competed on the Women Professional Golfers’ European Tour (WPGET) and the Ladies Asian Tour in 1991; was a two-time winner on the Futures Tour (1990) and a five-time winner on the Players West Golf Tour (1989).

Amateur

Saiki won both the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship and the Junior World Championship in 1983. She won the Broadmoor Invitational in 1986-87. Saiki played collegiate golf at the University of Southern California, where she was an NCAA All-American in 1986 and a four-time All-Conference honoree.

Personal

Started playing golf at the age of 11. . . Credits her parents, two sisters and John Anselmo as the individuals most influencing her career. . . Enjoys mountain biking, fitness and cooking. . . Qualified for the Tour on her third attempt.
