Miss Jameson came back to win the second Championship, at the Starmount Forest Country Club, Greensboro, N.C. The form was changed to stroke play, and she made a 72-hole score of 295.

Two amateurs, the Misses Polly Riley and Sally Sessions, tied for second at 301, and Miss Sessions won the playoff by making a 4 to Miss Riley's 5 on the extra hole.

Miss Jameson was believed to be the first to better 300 in a woman's 72-hole tournament. Prize money was reduced to $7,500.
