Growing up in Texas, Stanford began collecting golf accolades early, winning the Ft. Worth Girls Championship four times (1994-96), the 1996 Texas State 4A State High School Championship and the 1996 PING Texas State Junior Championship. While at Texas Christian University, Stanford won nine collegiate tournaments, was a four-time All-American and a four-time All-WAC. She was named 1997 WAC Freshman of the Year and 1999 WAC Player of the Year. Stanford was a member of the 2000 U.S. Curtis Cup Team, a semifinalist at the British Amateur Championship and winner of the WAC Championship.

5'6", brown hair, blue eyes…Started playing golf at the age of 10…Credits her dad, who introduced her to the game, golf instructor Amy Fox (an LPGA T&CP Division member) and TCU coach Angie Larkin as the individuals most influencing her career…Hobbies include shopping, watching movies, playing all sports and watching ESPN SportsCenter…Qualified for the Tour on her first attempt.
