Local Qualifying Exemptions

Sectional Qualifying Exemptions

L-1. All former winners of the U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

L-2. All former winners of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.

L-3. All former winners of the LPGA Championship, the Women’s British Open Championship, the Kraft Nabisco Championship and the du Maurier Classic.

L-4. Winners of U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship, U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship for the last five years (1998-2002), and the runners-up of the most recent year who meet the handicap requirement.

L-5. Winners of the USGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championship for the last five years (1998-2002), who meet the handicap requirement.

L-6. Winner of the Ladies' British Open Amateur championship for the last three years.

L-7. Quarterfinalists from the 2002 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.

L-8. Playing members of the U.S. Curtis Cup and U.S. Women’s World Amateur teams for the last ten years (1994-2003).

L-9. Playing members of the United States and European Solheim Cup teams for the last ten years (1994-2003).

L-10. Winners of LPGA Tour co-sponsored events, whose victories are considered official, from the conclusion of the 1999 U.S. Women’s Open Championship to the initiation of the 2002 U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

L-11. Winners of Futures Tour and the Japan LPGA Tour whose victories are considered official, in the last calendar year and during the current year (2002 and 2003), through April 30(must have filed an entry by April 30).

L-12. From the 2002 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, those returning scores for 72 holes.

L-13. From the 2003 Kraft Nabisco Championship and the 2002 LPGA Championship and the Women's British Open Championship, the 30 lowest scorers and anyone tying for 30th place.

L-14. From the 2002 final official LPGA Tour money list, the top 90 money leaders, and from the final official LPGA Tour money list, the leader in each of the last five calendar years.

L-15.From the 2003 LPGA Tour official money list, the top 100 money leaders through April 30(must have filed an entry by April 30).

L-16. From the official LPGA Tour career money list, the top 50 money leaders as of the end of 2002.

L-17. From the 2002 final official Futures Tour money list, the top five money leaders.

L-18. Winners of the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit for the last five years. 

L-19. Ladies European Tour Order of Merit Tournament winners from 2001, 2002, and 2003 through the close of entries on April 30(must have filed an entry by April 30).

L-20. The top 50 from the 2002 Final Ladies European Tour final Order of Merit.

L-21. Winners of the 2002 LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Championship.

L-22. Any player whom the USGA Women’s Committee selects for an exemption on the basis of her playing record (may be added to the field of 400 players but must have filed an entry by April 30).
