  • In 1999, best finish was a tie for 16th at the Wegmans Rochester International; recorded her third LPGA career hole-in-one during the first round of the Sara Lee Classic.
  • In 1998, finished fourth at the LPGA Corning Classic for her best finish of the season; earned a career-low 71.82 scoring average; and fired a career-low 64 during the opening round of the JAL Big Apple Classic, where she tied for ninth.
  • In 1997, captured her fourth career title at the Rochester International.
  • In 1996, tied for second at the Weetabix Women's British Open and tied for third at the McDonald's LPGA Championship.

AMATEUR RESULTS
Hammel's junior credits include victories at the 1979 U.S. Girls' Junior, 1979 PGA Junior, 1979 Junior Orange Bowl and 1979 Illinois Junior. She was a quarterfinalist at the 1983 Public Links and was the low amateur at the 1983 Florida Women's Open. Hammel won the 1983 NCAA individual championship, and her team won the title in 1984. Hammel was a 1983 and 1984 All-American and a member of the 1984 U.S. Curtis Cup Team.
