  • In 2000, tied for 49th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2001 season; carded a course-record 65 at the LPGA Sectional Qualifying Tournament in Venice, Fla.; competed on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) where she won the Korea Women's Open, the Hite Ladies Open and captured the Asian Open title for the third time; also played in the Samsung World Championship and finished 19th.
    From 1999-2000, competed on the SBC Futures Tour, where she recorded four top-10 finishes.

AMATEUR RESULTS
Kang's amateur career culminated with wins at the 1996 Rose Ladies Open in Korea and the World Amateur Championship.
