CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
- In 2000, best finish was a tie for 22nd at the LPGA Corning Classic;
recorded her second and third career holes-in-one during the second
round of the Cup Noodles Hawaiian Ladies Open and the final round of
the LPGA Corning Classic, respectively; returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying
Tournament and took medalist honors to earn exempt status for the 2001
season.
- In 1999, posted a career-best finish at the Michelob Light Classic,
where she placed fifth; fired a career-low score of 66 during the second
round of the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic; recorded her first LPGA career
hole-in-one during the third round of the Michelob Light Classic.
- Prior to joining the LPGA Tour, competed on the Futures Tour, where
she recorded five wins; in 1996, was the Central Florida Challenge leading
money winner and Player of the Year with six wins.
- Was a member of the Asian Tour and Women Professional Golfers' European
Tour (WPGET).
AMATEUR RESULTS
Ginter captured both the Wisconsin State Junior and Wisconsin State Amateur
titles. As a competitor on the University of Texas golf team, she was
voted the team MVP in 1986, was a member of the All-Southwest Conference
in 1986 and 1988 and an NCAA All-American in 1988. She competed in two
U.S. Women's Open Championships as an amateur.
PERSONAL
Started playing golf at the age of 10. . . Credits her high school coach,
Mary Beth Neinhaus, her parents and her instructor Denis Watson as the
individuals most influencing her career. . . Has one brother. . . Hobbies
include outdoor sports, art and vegetarian cooking. . . Qualified for
the Tour on her ninth attempt.
