CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • In 2000, best finish of the season was a tie for 11th at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic.
  • In 1999, best finish of the season was a tie for 14th at the Welch's/Circle K Championship.
  • In 1998, recorded three top-10 finishes including her career-best finish of second place at the Rainbow Foods LPGA Classic, where she lost to Hiromi Kobayashi on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff.
  • In 1997, recorded her first career hole-in-one during the second round of the Nabisco Dinah Shore, one of the LPGA Tour's major championships; tied for seventh at the Welch's/Circle K Championship.
  • In 1996, recorded her career-low round of 63 during the third round of the Oldsmobile Classic, where she finished fourth.
  • In 1995, finished second in the Rolex Rookie of the Year race, just five points behind winner Pat Hurst; best finish was a tie for fourth at the GHP Heartland Classic.
  • In 1994, prior to joining the LPGA Tour, played on the Women Professional Golfers' European Tour (WPGET), Futures Tour, Players West mini-tour, where she won two events, and the Asian Tour, where she won the Indonesian Open; named the WPGET Rookie of the Year.

AMATEUR RESULTS
During Hanson's amateur career, she captured numerous titles, including the 1989 Women's Western Junior Championship and the 1991 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship. In the same year (1991), she was the low amateur at the U.S. Women's Open. She was a member of the 1992 U.S. Curtis Cup Team. She played collegiate golf at San Jose State University, where she won 10 collegiate titles and was a member of the 1992 NCAA national championship team. Hanson was a four-time All-American at San Jose State University.
