2003 HIGHLIGHTS:

Became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, where she led wire-to-wire and tied her career-low round of 65 during the first and final rounds.

The very next week, tied for second after a thrilling three-way, 18-hole playoff at the U. S. Women’s Open with eventual winner Hilary Lunke and Kelly Robbins; Stanford had made a long birdie putt on the 72nd hole of regulation to earn a spot in the playoff, then sank a 27-footer on the 18th playoff hole to force Lunke to birdie, which she did.

Qualified for her first appearance on the U. S. Solheim Cup Team.

2002 HIGHLIGHTS:

Closed with consecutive rounds of 66 to finish second to Se Ri Pak at the First Union Betsy King Classic, the best finish of her career.

Finished eighth the very next week at the State Farm Classic and recorded two additional top-20 finishes.

Posted a career-low 65 during the third round of the Aerus Electrolux USA Championship Hosted by Vince Gill and Amy Grant, where she tied for 16th.

In 2000, tied for fourth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2001 season; turned professional and competed in and won one event on the SBC Futures Tour, the SBC Futures Tour Championship.

AMATEUR:

Growing up in Texas, Stanford began collecting golf accolades early, winning the Fort Worth Girls Championship four times (1994-96), the 1996 Texas State 4A State High School Championship and the 1996 PING Texas State Junior Championship. . . While at Texas Christian University, Stanford won nine collegiate tournaments, was a four-time All-American and a four-time All-WAC. She was named 1997 WAC Freshman of the Year and 1999 WAC Player of the Year. . . Member of the 2000 USACurtis Cup Team, a semifinalist at the 2000 British Ladies Amateur Championship and winner of the WAC Championship.

Started playing golf at the age of 10....Credits her dad, who introduced her to the game, golf instructor Amy Fox (an LPGA T&CP Division member)and TCU coach Angie Larkin as the individuals most influencing her career....Hobbies include shopping, watching movies, playing all sports and watching ESPN SportsCenter....Qualified for the Tour on her first attempt.
