In 2000, competed in 19 of the first 20 events of the season (missing only one week due to jury duty)and missed only one cut in that time; best finish of the season was a tie for third at the Evian Masters; tied her career-low round of 64 during the third round of the AFLAC Champions Presented by Southern Living, where she finished eighth; qualified for her third U.S. Solheim Cup Team.

In 1999, won the Japan Airlines Big Apple Classic in a five-hole playoff over Lorie Kane; repeated as champion of the Weetabix Women’s British Open; crossed the $3 million mark in career earnings at the areaWEB.COM Challenge; lost in a LPGA record six-way playoff to Se Ri Pak at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic.

In 1998, won the Weetabix Women’s British Open Championship for her third LPGA victory; holed the putt that clinched the 1998 Solheim Cup title for the United States.

In 1997, best finish was fourth place at the Welch’s Championship, where she also crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings; recorded her third career hole-in-one during the first round of the Safeway LPGA Golf Championship.

In 1996, best finish was a tie for fourth at the Standard Register PING.

Steinhauer’s junior career is topped by her three consecutive wins at the Wisconsin State Junior Championship from 1978-80. . . Won the 1983 Women’s Trans-National. . . Played collegiate golf at the University of Texas where she claimed five victories and All-America honors in 1985. She also was named MVP in 1983 and 1985. . . Was low Amateur in the 1983 U.S. Women’s Open.
