Career
• In 2004, joined the Futures Tour, where she finished sixth on the money list and had five top-five finishes; tied for fourth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines to earn exempt status for the 2005 LPGA Tour season.
Amateur
Bastel had an excellent amateur career, capped by being a member of the 2002 USA Curtis Cup and World Amateur Teams. She advanced to the semifinals of the 2001 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship and claimed the Ohio State Amateur Championship three times (1999, 2001, 2003). Bastel was named a second-team All-American in 2002, earned All-Big Ten honors four times and was the 2002 Big Ten Player of the Year as well as the 1999 Big Ten Freshman of the Year. She was named Michigan State's Female Athlete of the Year in 2000 and 2002.
