2001 Highlights
Became the second of four-consecutive Rolex First-Time Winners of the 2001 season with her victory at the State Farm Classic, where she had a career-low 63 and held off Annika Sorenstam in the final round; her 63 was the lowest final-round score posted by a winner in 2001.
Her State Farm Classic victory gained her entrance into the AFLAC Champions Presented by Southern Living, where she posted her second-best finish of the season, seventh place.
Recorded the first hole-in-one of her LPGA career during the third round of The Office Depot.
Earned the Century 21¨ Fine Homes & Estates Move of the Month Award for August and $5,000 as a result of her 63-spot jump up the money list that month.

In 1989, she was a semifinalist at the Texas State Womens Amateur Championship. She played collegiate golf at the University of Texas, where she won three individual titles, including the Southwest Conference Championship and was a NCAA All-American. . .Started playing golf at the age of 12...Credits Harvey Penick and her father, Joe Bob Golden, as the individuals most influencing her career...Enjoys fishing, hiking and billiards.
