• Carded a 65 (-6) on Sunday of the U.S. Women's Open, the lowest closing round in the championship's history, to capture her second U.S. Women's Open title; set the record for the longest period of time between U.S. Women's Open wins (13 years); crossed the $8 million mark in career earnings with her $560,000 first-place paycheck.
• Won the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open the very next week, leading wire-to-wire and carding season-low 65s during the first and third rounds; is one of four players in LPGA history (with Jane Geddes, Louise Suggs and Se Ri Pak) to follow a U.S. Women's Open win with another victory the very next week.

• Fired a final-round 67 to come from behind and win the season-ending ADT Championship by a single stroke over Annika Sorenstam; crossed the $7 million mark in career earnings with the victory.
• Recorded a total of 10 top-10 finishes, including second place at the Sybase Big Apple Classic presented by Lincoln Mercury and a tie for second at the Wachovia LPGA Classic hosted by Betsy King; also finished fourth at the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez and tied for fourth at the LPGA Corning Classic.
