Career Highlights
• In 2004, turned professional in March and competed in 16 events on the Futures Tour, where she won The New Innsbrook C.C. Futures Golf Classic, and recorded four additional top-10 finishes to finish 14th on the money list; tied for 42nd at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines to earn non-exempt status for the 2005 LPGA Tour season.
Amateur
Song's decorated amateur career includes eight national junior tournament wins and an additional nine runner-up finishes from 1999-2001. She played in the Kraft Nabisco Championship from 2000-03 as a sponsor's exemption, making the cut twice and tying for 58th each time. Song played in the 2000 and 2003 U.S. Women's Open and garnered low amateur honors in 2000 when she tied for 40th. She played in 12 LPGA events as an amateur and made five cuts, posting her best finish at the 2002 Wegmans Rochester International, where she tied for 29th. Song was an American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) All-American from 1999-2000. In 2001, she won the Kosaido Thailand Ladies Open, a professional event on the Asian circuit. In 2002, she became the youngest winner of the South Atlantic Ladies Amateur, placed third at the Harder Hall Women's Invitational and tied for fifth individually at the World Amateur Team Championships in Malaysia, where she helped the Thailand team to its second-place finish. In 2003, she finished second to her twin sister Aree at the Harder Hall Women's Invitational and the South Atlantic Ladies Amateur. Song also placed second at the 2004 Harder Hall Women's Invitational. While a freshman at the University of Florida, she notched three top-10 finishes. . .Started playing golf at the age of 7...Credits her family and golf coach Jonathon Yarwood as the individuals most influencing her career...Naree and Aree Song are the first set of twins to compete on the LPGA Tour...Is a Korean citizen...Brother Chan just completed eligibility at Georgia Tech.
