Forgetful Player

I had an interesting situation with the last group from the "morning wave." Shanshan Feng, a young amateur from China, had left her fellow competitor’s scorecard in her hotel room instead of bringing it with her this morning when we resumed play. Feng was the marker for Marci Turner. Turner didn’t have to worry. We went over to the nearby 10th tee where Peggy Runnette of Pennsylvania, the official starter, had a couple extra blank scorecards. We took one and brought it back to fill out, sign and attest. No worries.

Fortunately, Decision 6-6a/7 explains the exact situation. Gotta love the Decisions on the Rules of Golf book.
