Sorenstam Out Of Turn

I just saw a good one for all of you. Annika Sorenstam, Laura Davies and Jimin Kang had hit great shots onto the 16^th green. Laura and Jimin made a quick pit stop after their shots and Annika walked up to the green. She had just hit a great shot with a 15-foot putt for birdie. She seemed anxious to make the putt. She marked and lifted her ball, cleaned it, replaced it and made the stroke.

Do you see anything peculiar in the photo?

Annika played out of turn! Rule 10-2 tells us that she’s OK. There’s no penalty for playing out of turn in stroke play unless it’s done to give someone an advantage.

She even gave us a fist pump when she holed it!
