Player Notes: For the first time in six years, Yuri Fudoh was not the top women’s golfer in Japan, Oyama claimed the title by finishing ¥66 million ahead of her nearest rival, Mijeong Jeon of South Korea. Sakura Yokomine was third, while Fudoh fell to 14th. Oyama was also player of the year in 2006, winning three times the Fujisankei Ladies, the Salonpas World Ladies and the Crystal Gayser Ladies.
