Posted three top-10 finishes, including a tie for third at the inaugural Honda LPGA Thailand 2006, a tie for seventh at the John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic presented by SemGroup, where she carded a season-low 66 during the final round, and a tie for 10th at the Weetabix Women’s British Open.

Carded a 66 during the third round of the Wendy’s Championship for Children, where she shot 28 (-8) on her front nine to tie the LPGA nine-hole record in relation to par, and during the second round of the

Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi.

Finished fourth at the HSBC Women’s World Match Play Championship, where she defeated top-ranked Annika Sorenstam in the quarterfinals before falling to eventual champion Marisa Baena in the semifinals.

Posted top-10 finishes in two LPGA majors, including a tie for sixth at the U.S. Women’s Open conducted by the USGA and a tie for ninth at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

Amateur Highlights

Kung was a three-time American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) All-American and was named 1999 AJGA Player of the Year. She won the 2001 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. While at the University of Southern California, Kung was a two-time NCAA All-American and won the 2000 PAC-10 Championship.
