Tied her career-best finish at the Sybase Classic presented by ShopRite, where she finished second.

Recorded six additional top-10 finishes, including a third-place finish at the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill, where she carded a season-low 63 (-8) in the opening round and the season-low 18-hole score on Tour for a par-71 course; tied for fourth at the Ginn Tribute.

Tied a Tour-record for low nine-hole score in relation to par with a 28 (-8) on the front nine during the second round of the Corona Championship.

Tied for 18th twice: at the Sybase Classic Presented by Lincoln Mercury; and at the ShopRite LPGA Classic after carding back-to-back season-low 68s during the second and final rounds.

Also posted a 68 during the first round of the Office Depot Championship at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles.

Did not compete in August and September due to a left thumb injury.

Also tied for second at the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez.

Tied for eighth at two major championships— the Kraft Nabisco Championship and Weetabix Women's British Open.

In 2001, while competing on the SBC Futures Tour, recorded nine top-10 finishes in 19 tournaments, including back-to-back wins at the Innerform Golf Challenge and Futures Golf Classic at Green Mountain National; finished third on the SBC Futures Tour money list to earn exempt status for the 2002 LPGA Tour season.

From 1998-2001, competed on the Korea LPGA Tour, where she won the 1999 SBS Championship.

Amateur Highlights

As an amateur, Lee won the Sports Chosun Middle/High School Cup and finished third at the Korean Girls Amateur Championship and the College Association Choice Cup.

Credits her father as the individual most influencing her career. After three attempts at the LPGA Qualifying Tournaments, qualified for the LPGA Tour by placing third on the 2001 SBC Futures Tour money list..
