2007 Highlights

Played in all but one event she was eligible for (29) and missed just one cut en route to recording eight top-10 finishes, including a career-best tie for second at the U.S. Women’s Open, and three additional ties for third at the Fields Open in Hawaii, and in consecutive events entered at the Navistar LPGA Classic and Samsung World Championship.

Secured the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year award with 952 points, 457 points more than runner-up In-Kyung Kim.

Carded a career-low 63 (-9) during the final round of the Navistar LPGA Classic, which tied a Tour season- low round on a par-72 course; the round included 10 sub pars, which was also a Tour-low in 2007.

In 2006, turned professional in April and competed in 16 events on the Duramed Futures Tour, where she recorded a season-best tie for third at the Tucson Duramed FUTURES Golf Classic; tied for fifth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2007 LPGA season.

Amateur Highlights

Park had a decorated amateur career. She won five events on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) circuit and was named a first-team Rolex Junior All-American in both 2004 and 2005. Park played in 29 AJGA events over four seasons and finished in the top 10 in 24 of those starts. In 2005, she was a semi-finalist at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and won both the Dixie Amateur Championship and the Junior Orange Bowl. Park competed in the LPGA’s 2006 Kraft Nabisco Championship and tied for 15th to finish as the low amateur.

Started playing golf at the age of 9. . . Credits her parents as the individuals most influencing her career. . .  Enjoys reading, listening to music, chatting, texting, watching movies and going to Karaoke. . . Qualified for the Tour on her first attempt.
