Started playing golf at the age of eight. Credits her parents, her friends Mario Kranert and Kai Winkelvoss, and one of her first instructors Erol Simsek as the individuals most influencing her career. Is a medical technologist. Hobbies include reading books, spending time with family and friends, watching movies and listening to music. Qualified for the Tour on her first attempt. Monke recorded a runner-up finish at the 2002 German Ladies International Championship and a tie for third at the 2002 Ladies British Open Amateur Championship (a match-play event). In 2003, she won the Swiss Ladies International and Italian Ladies International. She is also a past member of the German National Team.

* In 2008 recorded a career-best tie for 27th at the MasterCard Classic Honoring Alejo Peralta presented by Nextel. Carded a career-low 66 in the first round of the LPGA State Farm Classic. Recorded six top-10 finishes on the Ladies European Tour (LET), including victories at the Vediorbis Open de France Dames and the Dubai Ladies Masters. Returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she tied for 15th to earn Priority List Category 11 for the 2009 LPGA season.

* In 2007, recorded four top-10 finishes on the Ladies European Tour (LET); tied for 34th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2008 LPGA season.
