Started playing golf at the age of seven. Credits her father, Sergio, and mother, Ana Maria, as the individuals most influencing her career. Enjoys watching movies. Llano’s amateur career started in her native country of Colombia where, in 2002, she won the Colombian Open and the Colombian National Junior Championship. She earned Colombia’s Player of the Year honors in 2000 and 2002. As a six-time participant, Llano was a four-time winner at the South American Team Championship in 2000 and 2003-05. At Pepperdine University, Llano recorded three consecutive victories at the 2003-05 West Coast Conference (WCC) Championships, was a three-time WCC Golfer of the Year, and was a two-time Second-Team All-American selection by the National Golf Coaches Association. Competed in the 2004 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. won the NCAA Fall Preview in 2004 at Auburn, Alabama. played in the Women’s World Amateur Team Championship in South Africa in 2006 finishing 3rd and 5th place individual. playing for Pepperdine as a team, they finish 2nd (2003), 4th (2005) and 3rd (2006).

Shot 69-68 (137) to tie for medalist honors at Rockville to qualify for this year’s Women’s Open.

* In 2008 had a career-best tie for ninth at the Corona Championship. Carded a career-best 67 in the second round of the McDonald’s LPGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola. Returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she tied for 10th to earn Priority List Category 11 for the 2009 LPGA season.

* In 2007, competed in 10 events on the Duramed FUTURES Tour, carding one top-10 finish; recorded a fifth-place finish at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2008 LPGA season.
