Korda finished T-19 at last year’s U.S. Women’s Open. Korda’s final-round 69 was the only sub-70 score Sunday. With that it gave her an exemption into this year’s Woman’s Open. Gave up tennis and took up golf when she was nine because she did not like running. Father is Petr Korda who played on the ATP Tour and won the 1998 Australian Open. The Kordas live next to Ivan Lendl, another tennis great. Lendl has three daughters who all play golf, and the families are very close. Jessica is friendliest with Daniela and Isabelle, who are closest to her age, and Petr often goes to Ivan for advice. Won the Bobcat Trail Open in 2007 on the FCWT Junior Golf Tour. Two-time Junior Champion in Czech Republic. Youngest player to make a cut on the Ladies European Tour at age 13, during the opening round of the 2006 OTP Bank Ladies Central European Open.
