Trasferred to Alabama from Furman prior to the 2007-2008 season..Was an honorable mention All-American after finishing tied for 20th at the 2008 NCAA Championship despite a broken finger. Was a SEC First-Team honoree. Broke the single season scoring average previously held by Alabama All-American Jenny Suh with a mark of 73.30. Set an individual Alabama tournament record with a 54-hole score of 203 (-13) at the Crimson Tide Classic to win the event; also set the Alabama single round record with a score of 65 (-7) at the Classic. While at Furman Ekey was on the 2006 and 2007 Southern Conference first team, 2006 Southern Conference Freshman of the year, 2007 team MVP and 2007 NGCA All-East Region team member. 2004 Ohio state individual champion. is an avid hockey sister.

AT ALABAMA:

2008 (SENIOR): Played in five tournaments and finished 14 rounds. finished the fall season with an average score of 73.43. had three top-10 finishes in the fall. best finish - came at the NGCA Match Play Qualifier and the Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship where she finished tied for seventh. best 54-hole score was a 213 (-3) at the Mason Rudolph Championship. best round was a 69 (-3) at the Mason Rudolph Championship. tallied nine rounds of par or better during the Fall. ranked 14th in the country in birdies made.

2007-08 (JUNIOR): Was an honorable mention All-American after finishing tied for 20th at the NCAA Championship. was a SEC First-Team honoree. named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. had a record-breaking season in her first year at the Capstone. broke the single season scoring average previously held by All-American Jenny Suh with a mark of 73.30. set an individual Alabama tournament record with a 54-hole score of 203 (-13) at the Crimson Tide Classic to win the event. in that same tournament also set the Alabama single round record with a score of 65 (-7). was named the Golfweek and SEC Player of the Week after the Crimson Tide Classic. earned the Eleanor Dudley Low Stroke Award at the Alabama banquet. qualified and played in the U.S. Open at the Interlachen Country Club as an amateur. finished third overall and first amongst amateurs at the U.S. Open sectional qualifying at the Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Ill.. recorded six top-10 finishes in a team high 12 tournaments. finished third twice (Wildcat Invitational and Liz Murphey Classic) and fourth at the Mercedes-Benz Women’s Championship. recorded 14 rounds of par or lower. finished tied for 20th at the NCAA Championship despite a broken finger. first three tournament appearances at Alabama were finishes of eighth, third and fourth. third place finish at the Wildcat Fall Invitational helped Alabama to its first team title since the fall of 2005.
