S-5: Runne-up in 2022 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship

The 22-year-old Canadian earned her first U.S. Women's Open start by reaching the 36-hole championship match of the 2022 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at Chambers Bay, where she lost to Saki Baba, of Japan, 11 and 9. Chun just completed her junior season at the University of Michigan, where whe was a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar for the 2021-22 season. In 2021, she was named the Big 10 Conference Freshman of the Year, and in 2022 she won the Big 10 individual title while helping the Wolverines win the team title. She was a member of the Canadian National Junior Team from 2017-20. Chun's victory in the 2022 Canadian Women's Amateur earned her an exemption into the U.S. Women's Amateur. Other recent winners of that championship include major champions Jennifer Kupcho, Ariya Jutanugarn and Brooke Henderson, and 2018 U.S. Girls' Junior champion Yealimi Noh.
