Qualifier: Shot 70-70--140 at Corral De Tierra (Calif.) Country Club on April 27
The Stanford University standout will make her U.S. Women's Open debut after sharing medalist honors with Muni He at Corral De Tierra (Calif.) Country Club on Aprl 27. The Swede carded a pair of 70s to post 4-under-par 140. The No. 4 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking tied for fourth in the 2026 Augusta National Women's Amateur. She registereed five top-10 finishes at Stanford this season, including a victory at the Nanea Invitational in Hawaii. She also represented Sweden in the 2025 Women's World Amateur Team Championships in Malaysia. This past summer, she won the Hills Open, a professional event in Sweden and qualified for the AIG Women's Open. She represented the International Team in the 2025 Palmer Cup in South Carolina. During her first season at Stanford (2024-25), Ortengren was named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Freshman of the Year and she was the Women's Golf Coaches Association's Freshman of the Year, while also earning first-team All-America honors from both Golfweek and the WGCA. She also represented Sweden in the 2024 Sprint International that is contested in Texas.
