The University of Missouri senior and Jacksonville, Ill., resident will compete in her first U.S. Women's Open after sharing medalist honors at Meadowbrook Country Club, in St. Louis. Dobson carded a 5-under-par 139 to share the top spot with 17-year-old Zoe Cusack. Dobson competed in the qualifier shortly after tying for 19th in the Southeastern Conference Championship. Besides her golf career, Dobson lettered four times for her high school basketball team, and led the team in scoring as a senior. She was the runner-up in the 2021 Illinois Girls Junior, losing in a playoff. She finished her four-year career at Mizzou with 12 top-20 finishes and a scoring average of 74.77.
