The native of Thailand ascended to the No. 1 spot in the Rolex Rankings in 2025, thanks to a pair of victories. Thitikul concluded the year by successfully defending her CME Group Championship title and winning the Race to the CME Globe, collecting the richest prize in women's golf ($4 million). Thitikul owns 21 worldwide victories, eight of which have come on the LPGA Tour, including the 2026 Honda LPGA Thailand in her native country. Besides the CME Group title, she also won the 2025 Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National G.C., in Jersey City, N.J. As an LPGA Tour rookie in 2022, she broke through for her first victory on the circuit when she defeated Nanna Koerstz Madsen in a playoff at the JTBC Classic presented by Barbasol. Thitikul carded a final-round 64 to get into the playoff, which lasted two holes. Later in the season, she won the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Thitikul became the youngest-ever winner on the Ladies European Tour at the age of 14 when she captured the 2017 Ladies European Thailand Championship. She has since won three more times on the LET. She also owns five Thai LPGA Tour victories. She was the low amateur in the 2018 Chevron Championship (then ANA Inspiration) and finished fifth in the 2021 Evian Championship. This will be her fifth U.S. Women's Open start.
