Qualifier: Shot 69-68--137 at Soule Park Golf Course, in Ojai, Calif., on May 7
The LPGA Tour veteran is returning to the U.S. Women's Open for a seventh time, but first since missing the cut in 2022 at Pine Needles. Lee carded a 36-hole total of 7-under-par 137 at Soule Park G.C. to claim the second and final spot from the Ojai, Calif., qualifier. Lee, who has been bothered in recent years by shoulder, back and ankle injuries, tied for fourth in her U.S. Women's Open debut in 2012 at Blackwolf Run. She also tied for fourth in the Amundi Evian Championship in 2015. Those are her only top-10 finishes in 27 major-championship starts. Her lone professional victory came in the LPGA Tour's Pure-Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic in 2013, although she does have 21 top-10 finishes on the LPGA Tour. She also lost in a three-woman playoff at the 2014 Mizuno Classic. As an amateur, Lee won the 2004 Asia-Pacific Junior Championship. She turned professional two years later.
