Qualifier: Shot 68-68 at Sugar Mill Country Club (Red/White Courses), in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on April 28
Darquea qualified for her sixth U.S. Women's Open after shooting 8-under-par 136 at Sugar Mill Country Club, in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., sharing medalist honors with amateur Farah O'Keefe. In 2015 at Lancaster (Pa.) Country Club, Darquea, then a standout at the University of Miami (Fla.), became the first player from Ecuador to play in a U.S. Women’s Open. Her lone professional win to date is the 2017 IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour). She represented her country in the 2015 Pan American Games and 2016 Women's World Amateur Team Championship. She also qualified for the COVID-delayed Tokyo Summer Olympics. Darquea won a trio of college events at Miami, where she was a three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer while earning honorable-mention All-America honors. She is currently competing on the Ladies European Tour after making 15 starts on the LPGA Tour in 2024.
