Qualifier: Shot 69-67 at Duxbury (Mass.) Yacht Club on June 7
Darquea qualified for her fifth U.S. Women's Open after shooting 8-under-par 136 at Duxbury Yacht Club in Massachusetts. In 2015 at Lancaster (Pa.) Country Club, Darquea, then a standout at the University of Miami (Fla.), became the first player from Ecuador to play in a U.S. Women’s Open. Her lone professional win to date is the 2017 IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour). She represented her country in the 2015 Pan American Games and 2016 Women's World Amateur Team Championship. She also qualified for the COVID-delayed Tokyo Summer Olympics. Darquea won a trio of college events at Miami, where she was a three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer while earning honorable-mention All-America honors.
