The Hawaii native and UCLA graduate will make her sixth U.S. Women's Open start after surviving a 2-for-1 playoff in her qualifier at Soboba Springs Golf Club in San Jacinto, Calif. Galdiano rallied with a 5-under 67 in Round 2 of the 36-hole qualifier, which included a birdie on No. 18 to get into the playoff against 14-year-old Emily Song. Galdiano currently plays on the Epson Tour, where she made 11 of 18 cuts in 2023, including a share of second in the Black Desert Resort Championship. She enjoyed a decorated amateur career that included two appearances in the Curtis Cup, including a USA victory in 2018 at Quaker Ridge Golf Club. She also was a member of the 2016 USA Women's World Amateur Team and represented the U.S. in a pair of Palmer Cups and the 2015 Junior Solheim Cup. Galdiano made her first U.S. Women's Open appearance in 2011 at The Broadmoor as a 13-year-old. Her only made cut in five previous starts came at Lancaster Country Club in 2015 (T-42). Galdiano also won a gold medal in the 2017 World University Games and helped the USA to a team gold medal. Two years earlier, she claimed the Canadian Women's Amateur.
