McGill registered her first professional victory last August when she claimed the U.S. Senior Women's Open at NCR Country Club in he first year of eligibility. That win earned her a spot in the U.S. Women's Open, where she'll make her 16th start. The University of Southern California product enjoyed a stellar amateur career that included victories in the 1993 U.S. Amateur and 1994 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links, becoming the second player to win both of those titles. In 1994, she also was the runner-up to Wendy Ward in her title defense. McGill also represented the USA in the 1994 Curtis Cup Match before turning professional. She was the runner-up in the 1995 Women's British Open before it became an official women's major championship. McGill, who grew up in Colorado, now resides in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, Patrick Byerly and their two children.
