Qualifier: Shot 69-71 at Palatine Hills Golf Club in Palatine, Ill., on June 7

Chaves qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open by surviving a 4-for-2 playoff at Palatine Hills Golf Club. All four players shared medalist honors at 4-under-par 140. Chaves has competed on the Epson Tour since 2019. In 2022, she tied for second in the IOA Championship. Her other top finish came in the 2019 FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship when she shared second. In 2010, she was named the Paraguayan Junior Golfer of the Year. She also won the Montevideo Open in 2012 and 2013 while still an amateur. She played for San Diego State and claimed the Mountain West Conference title in 2018, the same year she captured the South America Open Amateur Championship in Argentina.
