Hsu will make her eighth U.S. Women's Open start, thanks to being the medalist in the Ohio State University Golf Club's qualifier on May 2 with a 36-hole total of 3-under-par 141. Hsu tied for fifth in 2018 at Shoal Creek. She owns five professional victories, including the 2021 Pure Silk Championship on the LPGA Tour. She also posted a pair of Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour) victories, one in 2013 and the other a year later. Her other two titles came on the Taiwan LPGA Tour. Hsu also represented her country in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo that were played a year later due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2018, she represented Chinese Taipei in the International Crown.
