The 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur runner-up will play in her third U.S. Women's Open after surviving a 2-for-1 playoff at Arrowhead Golf Club. She edged out Kaleiya Romero after both shot 3-under 139. Jeon enjoyed a strong season on the Epson Tour in 2023, posting a pair of victories and finishing fourth on the money list to earn her LPGA Tour card for 2024. Jiwon captured the Inova Mission Inn Resort Club Championship and the French Lick Resort Charity Classic. She transferred to the University of Alabama after two seasons at Daytona State College in Florida. She lost to future Alabama teammate Kristen Gillman in the championship match of the 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur at the Golf Club of Tennessee.
