The 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur runner-up will play in her second U.S. Women's Open, and first as a professional, after earning medalist honors in the Rainier Golf & Country Club qualifier in Seattle, Wash. Jiwon carded a 7-under-par 137 in the 36-hole event. Had a strong season on the Epson Tour in 2023, posting a pair of victories and finishing fourth on the money list to earn her LPGA Tour card for 2024. Jiwon captured the Inova Mission Inn Resort Club Championship and the French Lick Resort Charity Classic. Transferred to the University of Alabama after two seasons at Daytona State College in Florida. She lost to future Alabama teammate Kristen Gillman in the championship match of the 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur at the Golf Club of Tennessee.
