Qualifier: Shot 68-71--139 at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas, on May 13

The University of Alabama senior will make her U.S. Women's Open debut after surviving a 2-for-1 playoff for the final spot in the Golfcrest Country Club qualifier in Pearland, Texas. Sinz posted a 36-hole total of 5-under 139, then defeated fellow amateur Junia Gabasa of the Philippines for the spot. Sinz spent the first three seasons of her college career at rival Auburn University before transferring to Alabama last fall. She posted one victory for the Tigers at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. She also finished third in the Texas Women's Amateur and fifth in the Texas Women's Stroke Play last summer. At Alabama, she led the Crimson Tide into the regionals, but they failed to advance.
