S-15: Winner of 2024 NCAA Division I individual championship

The 20-year-old from France became the first player from Texas A&M to win an NCAA Division I title with her three-stroke victory over Florida State standout and 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur champion Lottie Woad. The junior had already qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open after earning medalist honors in the Golfcrest Country Club qualifier in Pearland, Texas. She had posted a 36-hole total of 6-under-par 138. Cernousek shot 12-under 276 on the North Course at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif., for the NCAA title and helping the Aggies qualify for the match-play portion of the championship. Cernousek will begin play at Lancaster Country Club at No. 15 in the Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking. Prior to the NCAAs, she finished sixth in the Southeastern Conference Championship and was the runner-up in the Clemson Invitational. She also helped the Aggies qualify for match play in last year's NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz., where she posted a top-15 finish individually. Cernousek represented France in the 2023 Women's World Amateur Team Championship in the United Arab Emirates.
