The Fullerton, Calif., resident and University of Nevada junior will make her U.S. Women's Open debut after sharing medalist honors at the Del Paso Country Club qualifier, in Sacramento, Calif., with a 7-under-par total of 135. She ironically shared the honor with Nevada alum Leah John. Kano registered her first collegiate win at the 2024 Battle at the Boundary. She tied for eighth in the 2024 Mountain West Conference Championship. In 2018, she was named the Southern California Junior Tour's Player of the Year, posting three top-3 finishes, including a win in the Girls' 12-14 division.
