The Texas A&M University redshirt junior from Houston, Texas, survived a 3-for-1 playoff with Ava Merrill and 2024 Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cupper Patience Rhodes for the final spot at the St. Clair Country Club qualifier in Belleville, Ill. Nguyen posted a 36-hole total of 2-over-par 144. This will be her first U.S. Women's Open. Prior to arriving in College Station, Nguyen was the 2019 Texas Legends Junior Player of the Year. She captured the 2020 Texas Junior Amateur. Her best finish this past season was a tie for 22nd in the Carmel Cup.
