Odwin, a junior at Southern Methodist University, will become the first player from Barbados to ever compete in a U.S. Women's Open. She shared medalist honors at The Olympic Club qualifier with Sarah Lim, posting 3-under-par 139 over 36 holes on the venue that will host this year's U.S. Amateur and has previously hosted five U.S. Opens. Odwin spent one season at the University of Texas before transferring to SMU, where she finished fifth in the 2024 American Athletic Conference Championship. In 2021, Odwin became the first player from Barbados to qualify for both the U.S. Girls' Junior and U.S. Women's Amateur. She also competed in the 2023 U.S. Women's Amateur, and the past two Women's Amateur Championships conducted by The R&A. She was the runner-up in the 2024 Latin America Women's Amateur Championship and competed for Barbados in the 2023 Pan Am Games. She also finished sixth in the 2025 Australian Women's Amateur.
