Quaifier: Shot 70-70--140 at Arizona Country Club, in Phoenix, Ariz., on May 5

Hou will make her second U.S. Women's Open start, but first as a professional after earning medalist honors at the Arizona Country Country Club qualifier, in Phoenix. The former University of Arizona standout carded a 4-under-par 140. Hou has competed on both the LPGA and Epson Tours. Hou's lone professional victory came at the 2019 CTBC Ladies Open on the Taiwan LPGA Tour. Hou's sister, Yu-Chiang (Vivian) advanced to the championship match of the 2021 U.S. Women's Amateur at Westchester Country Club, losing to Jensen Castle. Yu-Sang caddied for her sister. Both were members of the 2018 NCAA championship team at Arizona. Hou was a two-time, second-team All-American for the Wildcats. She previously qualified for the 2016 U.S. Women's Open at CordeValle, missing the cut.
