S-17: Top 75 points leaders in the Rolex Rankings as of May 3, 2023
The University of Southern California alum will play in her fifth U.S. Women’s Open – and 19th USGA championship – by virtue of being among the top 75 points leaders in the Rolex Rankings as of the close of entries on May 3. This will be her second Women's Open as a professional. She tied for 16th in the 2021 LPGA Tour Q Series to earn her card for the 2022 season. Corpuz was a member of the victorious 2021 USA Curtis Cup Team that rallied in Wales in August 2021. In 2008, Corpuz surpassed fellow Hawaii native Michelle Wie as the youngest qualifier in U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links history at 10 years, 3 months and 9 days. In 2020, Corpuz was the runner-up to Rachel Kuehn in the Women’s North & South Amateur at Pinehurst No. 2, losing in 19 holes. Corpuz was named a first-team All-American by both Golfweek and the Women’s Golf Coaches Association in 2019-20 and led a talented USC team with a 71.57 stroke average. Corpuz attended the Punahou School in Honolulu, the same high school that produced Wie and President Barack Obama.
