The teenager from Thailand is one of the rising stars in the game, having ascended to the top spot in the Rolex Rankings on Oct. 31, 2022 (she is currently No. 4). As an LPGA Tour rookie in 2021, she broke through for her first victory on the circuit when she defeated Nanna Koerstz Madsen in a playoff at the JTBC Classic presented by Barbasol. Thitikul carded a final-round 64 to get into the playoff, which lasted two holes. Later in the season, she won the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Thitikul became the youngest-ever winner on the Ladies European Tour at the age of 14 when she captured the 2017 Ladies European Thailand Championship. She has since won three more times on the LET. She also owns five Thai LPGA Tour victories. She was the low amateur in the 2018 Chevron Championship (then ANA Inspiration) and finished fifth in the 2021 Evian Championship. This will be her second U.S. Women's Open start.
