2024 Championship | Yuka Saso, just a month shy of her 23rd birthday, became the first player in history to win the U.S. Women's Open Presented by Ally representing two different countries with her triumph at Lancaster (Pa.) Country Club. In 2021, she won under the Philippines flag, the country of her mother. This time, she won representing Japan, the country of her father. Saso carded a final-round, 2-under-par 68 to edge countrywoman Hinako Shibuno by three strokes. To read more click here. |
Quotable | “It feels great. I think winning in 2021 I represented the Philippines. I feel like I was able to give back to my mom. This year I was able to represent Japan, and I think I was able to give back to my dad. I'm very happy that I was able to do it. It's just a wonderful feeling that I was able to give back to my parents in the same way.” --Yuka Saso |
