Wallin will make her second U.S. Women's Open start and first as a professional after sharing medalist honors with countrywoman Pernilla Lindberg at Bradenton (Fla.) Country Club. She missed the cut as an amateurin the all-exempt U.S. Women's Open in 2020 at Champions Golf Club. Before becoming a competitive golfer, Wallin focused on swimming, a sport her father, Christer, excelled in. He competed in three Summer Olympics, winning silver medals in Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996). Wallin represented Europe in the 2016 Junior Ryder Cup and 2017 Junior Solheim Cup, and Sweden in the 2018 Women's World Amateur Team Championship. She also was the runner-up in the 2017 French Ladies International Amateur Championship. Wallin attended Florida State and was named the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year, and in 2022 she became the first Seminole female to capture an outright NCAA regional title. She also represented the International Team in the 2021 Palmer Cup, going 3-1. She turned professional last year and currently competes on the Epson Tour.
