The young phenom from Chinese Taipei qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open by taking the one available spot at Honolulu (Hawaii) Country Club on May 8, posting 6-under-par 138. At 15 years, 8 months, 27 days, Lin currently is the youngest player in the field. This is nothing new as she was the youngest player in the 2024 and 2025 U.S. Women's Amateurs as well. She also qualified for the 2024 U.S. Girls' Junior. She currently is the youngest member of the Chinese Taipei National Team. She owns six top-10 finishes in 2026, including a victory in the National Spring Tournament in her home country. She tied for seventh in the 2026 Women's Asia-Pacific Amateur. She claimed four titles in 2025, all coming in Chinese Taipei. She represented Chinese Taipei in the World Junior Girls Championship in Canada, tying for ninth individually. She also was the runner-up in the 2025 North & South Junior Girls Championship at Pinehurst, and advanced to the semifinals of the North & South Women's Amateur, losing to Australian star Jazy Roberts.
