Qualifier: Shot 70-71--141 at Buckinghamshire Golf Club in England on May 11

The former Arizona State All-American and 2016 Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cupper qualified for her third U.S. Women's Open, but first as a professional, taking medalist honors at Buckinghamshire Golf Club in England on May 11. Mehaffey, who represented Europe in the 2015 Junior Ryder Cup, missed the cut as an amateur in 2018 at Shoal Creek and the all-exempt competition in 2020 at Champions Golf Club. Mehaffey was a member of the victorious GB&I Curtis Cup Team that was held at Dun Laoghaire, in the Republic of Ireland, posting a 3-1 mark in the three-day competition. Reaching as high as No. 5 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Mehaffey won the 2015 Helen Holm Scottish Women's Open Championship as well as the Welsh Ladies Open Stroke Play Championship in 2015 and 2016. She was a semifinalist in The Women's Amateur Championship in 2015 and was third in the European Ladies Amateur in 2016. Mehaffey joined countrywomen Leona Maguire and Annabel Wilson in leading Ireland to the bronze medal in the 2016 Women's World Amateur Team Championship. As a freshman in 2017, Mehaffey helped Arizona State win the NCAA title, going 3-0 in matches against Florida, Stanford and Northwestern (title match). In 2019, she won the Pacific-12 Conference and NCAA Norman (Okla.) Regional in consecutive starts. She turned professional in 2021 and has played primarily on the Ladies European Tour. She is still seeking her first professional victory.
