Qualifier: Shot 69-73--142 at Buckinghamshire Golf Club in England on May 11
Lau, a former collegiate golf at Texas Christian University, will compete in her first U.S. Women's Open after surviving a 3-for-1 playoff for the final sport at a qualifier in England. Lau posted scores of 69-73 for a 2-under total of 142, then edged former UCLA and Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup standout Bronte Law and another former GB&I Curtis Cupper Meghan MacLaren in the playoff. Lau was born in Paris and learned the game at an early age from her father, a PGA professional. During her four seasons at TCU, she totaled a program-best 389 birdies and was a four-time NCAA Championship participant. She posted seven top-10 finishes for the Horned Frogs. She was a prominent member of the French National Team from 2021-23, and was the runner-up in the 2023 St. Rule Trophy at St. Andrews, and was the low amateur in the 2024 Lacoste Ladies Open de France. She turned professional in 2024 and currently plays on the Ladies European Tour.
