Chien earned her fifth U.S. Women's Open start, but first since tying for 50th in 2019 at the Country Club of Charleston, after sharing medalist honors with 2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur champion Carla Bernat Escuder at Streamsong (Fla.) Resort's Black Course. She posted a 36-hole total of 7-under-par 139. Chien has competed on the LPGA Tour, Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour) and Taiwan LPGA Tour. Of her seven worldwide victories, three have come on the Symetra Tour: the 2016 Kansas City Championship, the 2020 Symetra Classic and 2021 Circling Raven Championship. Chien competed in four consecutive U.S. Women's Opens from 2016-19, missing the cut in her first three starts. Chien's best finish in a major is a share of seventh in the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship.
