Qualifier: Shot 72-72 at Richmond (Calif.) Country Club on May 11

The Thai teen becomes the second 15-year-old to qualify for the 2026 U.S. Women's Open, joining Chines Taipei's Jie-En Lin. Lumpongpoung is two months older than Lin. She posted even-par 144 (72-72) at Richmond (Calif.) Country Club to garner the second and last qualifying spot.  In 2025, she captured the AJGA Junior at Copper Valley and the Mizuno West Coast Classic. She advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2025 U.S. Girls' Junior before losing to eventual semifinalist and 2025 U.S. Women's Open qualifier Rayee Feng.
